The Village Where Our Story Began
Playas de Tijuana is something altogether its own. Tucked along the Pacific coast at the very northwestern edge of Mexico, it is a quiet, residential neighborhood that feels worlds away from the bustle of downtown Tijuana, yet it sits just minutes from the US border.
This is the village where Rosy and Octavio met, and where they chose to celebrate their union. There is something unmistakably special about it: surfers at dawn, weekend families strolling the malecón, the scent of salt air and tacos, old fishermen, and ocean views that seem to stretch forever.
It is a place many visitors miss entirely, swept instead toward Rosarito, just 30 minutes south, which draws the larger tourist crowds. But Playas stands quietly apart. It is a local treasure: charming, unhurried, and genuine. Neighbors know each other, the streets are calm, and the Pacific sunsets are nothing short of extraordinary.
